International Network for Video- Enhanced Teacher Education (INVETE)

Aims

The International Network for Video-Enhanced Teacher Education aims at :
• building an online community for colleagues doing R&D work for video use in teacher education and professional development
• presenting the main research teams, their focus and highlights
• building an online clearing house to reference and review available empirical studies
• organizing symposia, meetings and events
• producing resources to design video-enhanced educational programs/environments

Design features of effective video-based learning environments for teachers

Teaching skills for higher-order learning

• Consequences for teacher action and its impact on pupil learning (both processes and outcomes)

• Learner feedback

• Teachers’ diagnostic competence

• Affordances of blended learning settings

• Cognitive and affective processes during video viewing

• Guidelines for production of online classroom video

• Facilitators training

• Longitudinal mixed-methods designs

What is an UNESCO Chair ? Launched in 1992, the UNITWIN/UNESCO Chairs Programme promotes international inter-university cooperation and networking to enhance institutional capacities through knowledge sharing and collaborative work.
The Programme supports the establishment of UNESCO Chairs and UNITWIN Networks in key priority areas related to UNESCO’s fields of competence – i.e. in education, the natural and social sciences, culture and communication.
